Adam's Apartment in the West Village
Adam wanted to transform his walkway into something fresh with a touch of New York elegance. We worked on a damask pattern that has a more modern feel with larger more organic shapes. Since the installation was going to be in a high traffic area for his apartment, we chose to do a subtle two tone effect in a light gray. The background gray is in a matte finish, while the damask is painted in a semi-gloss, giving it a beautiful play when the light hits the pattern.

Vinessa's one bedroom in Brooklyn Heights
Vinessa called upon Talking Walls to help turn her one bedroom apartment into a colorful and lively space. The goal was to help seperate the room into two different spaces. One side of the room to be cool and cozy for her bed and the living room side to be more warm and light to feel welcoming. With the ability to take one pattern and change the colors from one side to the other, Talking Walls was able to give Vinessa a very unique conversation piece!
Xavier's mosiac pattern in Brooklyn
Xavier was looking to enliven his room with multiple colors and a pattern that resembled his arabic background. We used a pattern from our design page and choose colors that were similar to the colors in his room. We used a silver paint in areas of the pattern to add a reflective quality. The pattern resembles a islamic mosiac in which multiple colors help enhace the entire wall.

Beth's swirl pattern in the Upper Eastside.
Beth wanted something that would work well with the patterns on the sheets of her bed as well as use an icy blue color from Benjamin Moore that she had wanted to use in her bedroom. After we gave her several patterns to choose from, she decided on a contemporary feel that worked well with the room adding a feeling of space and excitement to her room. The color of the pattern is the same as the colors of the wall to the sides adding to the punch of the metallic icy blue.

Elba's Lotuses in Brooklyn
Elba wanted something was simple in pattern and vibrant in color. She wanted to use lotuses for the represented tranquility and perseverance. Using a photograph of a lotus, we simplified the shapes and created more of an outline so the mocha color of the background would show through. Then we decided on a bold raspberry color for the flower and a nice yellow for the eyes of the flower. The flowers switch direction each row as to give it a feeling of slight movement. The eyes of each flower were touched up so they would have a sense individuality.

Courtney and Keith's wall in Chelsea, NYC
It was with the help of a couple of conversations that we made the decision of a light blue for the pattern and tan that Courtney and Keith already had as their background color. The softest of the pattern on the wall is really what makes this piece sing, giving it an almost lace like feel.

Spur Tree restaurant in Chinatown of NYC http://www.spurtreelounge.com
Spur Tree is a hip restaurant with great music and Jamacian style dishes. The design was made by taking the logo of the restaurant and staggering it to make it feel like a wall paper pattern. The colors where chosen to match that with the surrounding walls in the restaurant.
